The German course level A2 (basic speaker) is the so-called waystage or elementary level. It is for students who acquired already the level A1 or have similar language experiences. We work in our German language studies during the academic year 2011-2012 with the text and workbook (Lehr- und Arbeitsbuch) Berliner Platz 2 NEU. Our language work focus on phonetics, pronunciation (Aussprache) and reading, to develop the familiar relation with the German language and consolidate it more as a correct spoken and pronounced language. Permanently in reference with the acquired language skills of level A1 we work during this NTU Spring Semester 2012 the lessons 19 until 24. We study in the German grammar amongst others adjectives and their flections (Deklination der Adjektive), indefinita (alle, viele, einige), structure of relative clause (Relativsatz), and prepositions with dative forms. We study the German culture (civilization) in topics like leisure, job-seeking, new medias and politics. We also continue our text writing exercises (Textproduktion). The oral expression and active participation of every student is this language level A2 even more important than in A1 because to increasing vocabulary and expressions need to be exercised in the spoken language. Learning by speaking is the most effective way to remind and learn the foreign language. Very important for this acquisation beside of the language work in our class is the continuous and intensive work of each student at home. The workbook and the CDs are a great help to deepen and solidifying understanding and comprehension of each lesson.
